Samson's Bean Booth Update

I try stocking up on any scarves that I don't feel like hoarding for myself!

Shoes shoes shoes. Some Etsy rejects get a second shot at adoption in the booth.

Scary Spice? Still in its box? I'm sure someone will snatch this up if they haven't already.
Should make an excellent gag gift...or not (I won't judge).

I really like dressing up the MANnequin. I wonder if The Boy would ever be up for it.
I have yet to drag him to the thrift haunts. I don't think he's ready yet.

I need to switch up the hats and scarves. But hey! A boater.
Those are still cool, right?

Until next time, ♥.

Samson's Bean Booth Update: New Layout!

Mango recently "feng shui'd" the booth to a whole new level of awesome!
We also managed to clear out some space after the crazy 50% off sale that just ended.
(Even crazier? The amount of things that were left over!)
I was forced to haul off some winter gems to make room for new springtime goodies.

The ladies are rockin' the latest turban trends and a new jewelry board stands behind them.
I'm also trying to bring in a plethora of "stunnah shades."
Sun's coming out! You need to protect your vision.

I'm in love with this Arkansas Gazette jacket.
Won't a cute size small guy come and buy it, please?

Aside from vintage clothes, we've also got figures and wall art for the artful home.

Mango also made some neat and unique, one of a kind cards.
I found this cute koala mug that I almost kept for myself.
Fortunately for you guys, I decided against it.

If you're a local reader (or not),
be sure to check out Samson's Bean located at Mid-Towne Antique Mall!

Until next time, ♥.

Leopard Denim.

Skirt, Goodwill//Tent Blouse, Wolfe Street//Earrings, Samson's Bean//Boots, Ebay
Sorry about the excess junk, I was too lazy to move my roommates' stuff elsewhere.
I've been feeling really eclectic this week. I blame the really awesome weather we've been having.
Let's hope it stays this way. Funny to think that just last week, it snowed heaps!
Anyways, I'm ready to bust out more skirts and dresses--my legs need a breather.

Check out my new boots! I just got them in yesterday from Ebay.
The listing was kind of sketchy, providing only one dim photo...but I decided to take a chance.
They didn't cost me too much, so I'm glad I took the risk.
Aren't they lovely?

And, I've also been fascinated with long, dangling earrings.
I got these from Mango's merchandise from Samson's Bean, our booth at Mid-Towne Antique Mall.
At a mere $1.50, I just couldn't resist!
Also, for everyone around Central Arkansas, we're having a clearance sale. Everything is 20% off except for the vinyls and items marked "FIRM." Be sure to check it out if you have the chance!
We're ready to start loading in plenty of yummy springtime lovelies!

For those not in the vicinity, I'll be putting in some new merchandise in my Etsy shop tonight!
Until next time, ♥.

Samson's Bean Booth Update: Introducing the Craft

Despite the lack of posts lately, I still manage to get my stuff done out in the real world.
I don't have a single class on Fridays, so I do my best to be productive and wake up before noon.
I haven't done much thrifting lately, mostly because I have a closet full of pretty dresses waiting to be hemmed. (BLIMEY) I'm tempted to go out and thrift, but I really don't need to, le sigh.

Can you see that SPLAT purse? It's another experiment in nail polish painting.
I think I have a technique now involving layers of paint pen and nail polish.
This time I went for a "Pop-art" comic theme.
Next, I have a pretty taupe clutch that I want to incorporate a simple skeleton key design.
Any ideas of what might look fun on a purse? I'm totally open to suggestions!
When Mango and I first discussed our plans for Samson's Bean, we had a vision that involved not only hand-picked vintage, but also quality handmade accessories. I have yet to really crank out any DIY goods, but we have started carrying these lovely handknit goods by our friend Samantha. Hopefully in the future we can set up similar exchanges with other talented craftsters in our area!

We never let our bald lovelies go bare, they stay in style no matter what!

My first batch of Etsy listings expired, with the majority of them now taking residence in the booth.

Aren't these just wonderful?! I need to grab one for myself before they all get purchased.
Nowadays, I'm practically living in cozy knit hats. Remember, I'm lazy...and cold.

Until next time, ♥.

Samson's Bean Booth Update

Check out our cool new stuffed sign!
It adds such a cool new vibe to our blossoming booth.

I couldn't resist that adorable Muffy sweatshirt, hopefully it finds a good home!

I think one of my most favorite things about the booth is dressing up the MANnequin and changing out the outfits on the wall. It's like playing with paperdolls, only better!

Of course, I always return to my first loves: shoes and purses!

Until next time, ♥.

Samson's Bean Grand Opening.

Here are some photographs I snapped the day Samson's Bean was officially open for business.
Above are two Styrofoam heads that I modified the night before.

We altered a bookshelf to hold clothes. One of the original shelves was left to display shoes and hanging from the very top are some of my upcycled eyeglass pendant brooches.

A plethora of pretty pictures hang behind a man's dressform donning a gingham shirt and Member's Only navy jacket. A fake birdie managed to find its way onto the neck stub.

Three fake heads lined up in a row are sporting lovely DIY wearables.

An assortment of dresses and bottoms find their home in the modified bookshelf.

A fun tapestry backpack finds itself sharing space on an endtable with some lovingly beat up moccasin booties.
Golden butterflies precede our Mad Men Inspired and Chocolate-Infused Outfits.

Enjoy! I'll keep posting updates as they come up, but so far so good!
Until next time, ♥.
